| Pre '95 TTs were fine until Ethanol was introduced. 8-12 months later, injectors begin failing. I'm seeing the same thing Guapo posted w/ impedence raising until full failure. In talking with others, I was told that the ethanol seeps into the injector coil area and starts rusting it until it fully breaks it. The beginnings of it is rough idle that disappears if driving down the road, then the injector finally fails completely. From watching what's been going on w/ Zs on this site, there appears to be a correlation between where and when in the country Ethanol is introduced and how soon afterward injectors start failing... just something I've noticed over the years. Additionally, it is not just Nissans. I was also told that it affects any pintle type injector, usually made between 1988 and 1994.
